We are excited to announce Raffi Freedman-Gurspan will be receiving the Outstanding Public Service Award at our 2017 event. Raffi was the first openly transgender staffer to work at the White House. She was a Senior Associate Director for Public Engagement, serving as the primary liaison to the LGBTQ community, as well as Outreach and Recruitment Director for Presidential Personnel at the White House from 2015-2017. She is currently the Director of External Relations at the National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE).
Chuck Bell will be our MC for the night. Chuck Bell has been a Meteorologist with the News4 StormTeam4 since October of 2004. His forecasts can be seen on News4 Today, News4 Midday, on NBCWashington.com and on 103.5 WTOP.
DJ Jeff Prior (CTRL, Trade) and DJ Khelan Bhatia (BreakfastClub) will be our DJs for the evening. Both will keep spinning late into the night at the official afterparty hosted by Duplex Diner.
